Where The Air is Crisp

Look closely and you may see Grabs sitting atop the Power Rankings mountain.

Grabs has been one of the most consistent managers that The League! has ever seen…both in freshness and pure dominance. He has unquietly taken Vegas by storm year after year while also quietly climbed to the top of The League! Power Rankings.

A combination of the 3 main statistical categories, the power rankings combine winning percentage, points per game, and average place into one overall ranking. Each category is ranked by points ranging from 1 (the worst) to 13 (the best). Grabs comes out to being 3 points away from being perfect at a 36. He is ranked 1st in Winning Percentage, 3rd in Points per Game, and 2nd in Average Place. The next closest manager is at a 34.

His success goes well beyond just Power Rankings. In only 13 seasons, Grabs has gone into the playoffs with a first round bye 5 times and placed in the top three 6 times. That means that in half of his seasons, he has finished the year in the money.

Grabs needs to be careful that he doesn’t get too comfortable at the top of the mountain. He has had slip ups along the way (both real and metaphorically), and they have come roughly 3-4 years apart. He could be due for a slip up soon.

His first slip up was in 2009, where he finished in 8th place with just over 118 points per game. The next one came in 2012 where he also finished in 8th place with almost 123 points per game. His slipped up again in 2016 with 120 points per game and a Relegation Bowl loss. 2020 was the last one, with 126.90 points and a 9th place finish.

For now, Grabs can relish in the fact that he is atop the League! power rankings.
