The 200 Club

To score 200 points in a single week is hard. Like really hard. With only 9 starting positions every week, each position would have to put up just over 22 points on average. For a quarterback…sure, no problem. But for running backs, wide receivers, a tight end, flex guy, kicker, and defense to follow suit all in the same week takes the perfect storm of fantasy points.

In the history of The League! there have been over 2500 lineups started, and only 28 of them have made it into the 200 point territory. For the math nerds, that comes out to about 1%. That is right, just 1% of lineups have made it over 200 points. It basically ends up being the same odds as hitting a 6 team parlay.

New high score, is that bad? What does that mean? Did I break it?

200 points, is that bad? What does that mean? Did I break it?

Think of the 200 club as the Club Dub of The League!, only a whole lot cooler and less exclusive. Pretty much every manager in The League! has been able to get into the 200 club at least once. The only two managers that have not been able to get in are Egon and Moeller. They have each come close, basically getting as close to the door and the doorman telling them to scram. Egon got as close as 195.98 points in 2014 and Moeller got as close as 197.36 points in 2006. Still, they remain the only two managers that have not been able to eclipse that 200 point threshold.

Four managers have been frequent club goers over the years. Herriott is by far the king of the club, getting to 200 points eight times in his team’s history. He even went as far as putting up a string of high scores that will likely never be touched, reaching 200 points in back to back to back weeks in 2014. Carmen has gotten there three times. Reichert has been four times and is the proud owner of the most points ever scored in a single game - posting 235.18 in week 5 of 2021. Tony, B Scott, Smitty and Billy have been there twice. The rest of the field has joined the 200 club only once in their team’s history.
